I find and address real problems, not the noise of their symptoms.

Principal UX designer at The Home Depot for 12 years, 4 months. I dig past the request to find what's actually broken, then make it simpler.

How I work

My metaphor for problem solving:

Plenty of people can tell you the time.

I build clocks.

When someone asks what time it is, I want to know why they keep needing to ask. Then I build the thing that answers it for good.

Vanish

Tracks my requests to data brokers to take my personal info off the web.

Opting out means dozens of forms, and they have to be redone. I wanted one place that tells me what's done and what's due.

cirsh.com

This site. Built off Squarespace, with the resume generated from a single career record.

I'd rather maintain one source of truth than five versions of my resume.

In college I spent my breaks framing houses. Years later I added a bathroom to my own place, doing everything but the plumbing, and then rebuilt the deck. The work I do now is the same kind of work, just in software. I figure out how the thing holds together, find what's actually broken, and fix that part.
